Where links go to die...

Like the top drawer that you end up throwing everything in because you can't think of anywhere else to put it, this is the bit of my homepage containing links that I use all the time, but don't really fit anywhere.

• The ubiquitous Google (UK).
• For forays into "realworld", try:
  • the ever-dependable BBC News (low-graphics version)
  • or The Guardian, voice of the vaguely left-wing middle-class.
• Alternatively, try the nearly-real worlds at The Onion and Doonesbury.
• To manage my extensive offshore investment scheme, there's The Co-operative Bank.
• To manage my network of webpages and geekery there's:
  • my ISP, fast.co.uk (status page)
  • and my web hosting company, The Positive Internet Company (status page, webmail).
• To manage the neighbourhood where I live, I turn to Southwark Council.
• And last but by no means least, the Monmouth Coffee Company provide the fuel to keep me going.
• Always useful if you're trying to get anywhere:
  • By rail: National Rail or The Man in Seat 61
  • By bus: National Express
  • On foot: you'll probably need Streetmap or Google Maps.
• Of course, if you're in London you can use London Transport, particularly The Tube.
• For contacting people:
  • The Yellow Pages
  • Royal Mail and Postcodes Online.
